Many a Pitch (2007 - 08) are derived from investigations in landscape in which the physical, bodily, or sculptural presence of the photograph is emphasized as something that can be touched, moved, or eroded, and will undergo change, rather than serving as windows into other locations. The topographical elevation of a given place that is referenced and represented is addressed in a circumlocutory manner, while the position of the photographic object itself is more immediately determined and grasped, teasing out ideas of dominion with regard to geographic place and physical presence.
