Where in a World (2017 - current) is an ongoing series of two hour long exposure, large format photographs that depict various crest lines of volcanic rock in the Mojave Desert. The crest lines are backlight with ambient moonlight, obscuring the earth and its stone structure in silhouette. Inspired by the exhumation and amalgamation of subterranean and terrestrial matter, the photographs temporarily confound dense structural matter with atmosphere and light, taking on flattened, graphic resemblances to physical maps of otherwise unknown land masses.
